Recommended for Grade 11
 
After reading and viewing SciFi works, students are asked to develop their own alien race, and create an original work of short fiction based on it.  Students will also connect to Social Studies and invesitgate how nationalism can rise from the threat of invasion, and the power of words to move people to action.
